Kala Arevalo

Education:

University of Texas Arlington, B.A. Interdisciplinary Studies Texas A&M School of Law, J.D. Doctor of Jurisprudence Kala Arevalo has worked in family law since the age of 19. She began as a paralegal and continued to work full-time as she put herself through college and law school. Because she grew up in a family law firm, Kala has had years of experience that precede her actual license to practice law in Texas. She’s always been interested in becoming a family lawyer because of the special love she’s had for children. This is a profession that gives her a unique opportunity to interact with children in a special way. She’s interested in helping children overcome the negative impact of divorce and child custody cases. She’s worked as a Senior Associate Attorney with Cruz Law Group to help clients through some of the difficult decisions that can have a lasting impact on children.

 

Kala has handled and has family law experience in various cases, including extensive work with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, ranging from assisting parents to representing children involved in the system. Kala also represents clients in divorce cases, modifications, enforcements, termination, adoptions, and name-change proceedings. In addition to her work as an advocate, she is a qualified mediator in the areas of civil, family and CPS cases.
